Services for Marianne Biddick will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Ernest A. Flusche officiating. A rosary has been scheduled for 7 p.m. this evening, July 2, 2002, at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Mrs. Biddick was born March 19, 1930, in Oklahoma City to Morgan and Gladys Guillot Eddleman. She died June 30, 2002, at the local hospital.
She attended schools in Oklahoma City and Bartlesville and graduated from Norman High School in 1947. She attended Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio and the University of Oklahoma, where she majored in home economics and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
She married Lloyd W. Biddick Jr. on Aug. 29, 1950, in Norman, and they moved to Ardmore in 1954.
Marianne was a full-time homemaker and mother, which she considered her most important and satisfying accomplishment. She enjoyed her family, children and grandchildren and their activities. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and many civic and charitable organizations that included St. Mary Women's Club, Ladies of the Leaf, Republican Women's Club and Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association. She was director of St. Mary's Thrift Shop and a charter member of the Holly Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gladys and Morgan Eddleman; and her brother, Morgan "Bud" Eddleman Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd "Bud," of the home; six sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jane of Overland Park, Kan., Mike and Belinda of Ardmore, Steve and Stephanie of Tulsa, Matthew and Janet, of Norman, Joe and Mary of Norman, and Thomas and Karen of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Teresa and fiancÚ Fred Gardenhour of Dallas, Cathy and husband, Fred Romero of Marietta, and Elizabeth Biddick of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Ernestine Ruggiers and Ruthie Loeffler, both of Norman; a brother, Robert Eddleman and wife, Jayne, of Houston; 25 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and countless loving friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice.
