Willie Mae Chadwell, 77 of Mannsville, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009, at her home in Mannsville. She was born March 12, 1932, in Slim, Oklahoma to the late William Abner Monroe and Ethel Eveline Raney Monroe. She was raised in the Valliant, Oklahoma area before moving to Michigan where she lived for 10 years. Willie has lived the past 50 years in Ardmore where she worked as a waitress at several restaurants including the Chuck Wagon and Ponders Restaurant. She enjoyed sewing, watching TV and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Ned and husband, Calvin, Mannsville, Oklahoma, and Becky Pollard and husband, Stan, Durant, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kevin Ned, Mannsville, Oklahoma, Jonah Pollard, Durant, Oklahoma, and Elizabeth Ross and husband, Rodney, Mannsville, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Palmer Monroe and wife, Billie, Paragould, Arkansas.
Willie was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two nephews and one niece.
Graveside services will be Monday, March 23, 2009, at 2 p.m. in Rollins Cemetery, Mannsville, Oklahoma. Lyndol Adams will officiate the services. Music is arranged by Penny Bates and Jay Wallace. Services under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
Casket bearers are Kevin Ned, Chanler Ned, Justin Ned, Stan Pollard, Rodney Ross, Jay Wallace
