Bonnie Hazel Ball, 90, of Duncan died Tuesday, April 2, 2002. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Central Baptist Church in Central High with the Rev Randy McFarland officiating and the Rev Maarvin Knox with the eulogy. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery in Central High under the direction of Calaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Mrs. Ball was born on Oct 8, 1911 in Grady Co, near Marlow, to Charles A and Asenath Beavers Fincher. She married Maurice E Ball on Nov 26, 1930 in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death on Dec 9, 1981.
Mrs Ball moved to Duncan in 1984, she had lived in Central High for 68 years and Grady county for 4 years. She attended Prairie Center School and graduated with the Central HIgh School Class fo 1929. She was a housewife.
In 1950, Hazel and Maurice became charter members of the Central Baptist Church. Hazel was active in the church. She served as preschool teacher for 21 years, WMU President, President and Outreach Leader of the Dorcas.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Cooper of Duncan; six nephews and spouses, Jimmy Cooper and Sharon of Duncan, Glynn F Cooper of Stillwater, Bob Fincher and Jean of Beubrook, Texas, J C Fincher and Gruemella of Oklahoma City, Clyde Fincher of Crystal River, Fla, Jim C Couch and LaRita of Norman; five nieces and spouses, Carlene Campbell of Stillwater, Barbara Allsup and Jerry of Bartlesville, Mary Bratcher of Moore, Elda Reeves of Dallas, Texas, Daphine Jones and Jonarch of Duncan.
She was preceded in death by a son, Monte Eugene Ball; three brothers and a sister.
Bearers will be Otey B Enoch, Glyn Jackson, Glen Klein, Odell Enouch, Chester Eberhart and Larry Russell.
