Ancel Everett McCord, age 75, died Monday, October 18, 2010 at an El Reno hospital after a sudden illness. He was born February 14, 1935 in Winfield, KS to Ansel E. and Thelma F. (Love) McCord. He grew up in Kansas and Oklahoma, was a 1954 graduate of Enid High School. He served his country proudly in the US Army. Everett worked many years for AMPI at Gold Spot Dairy in Enid and later worked for Burrell‘s Town and Country, Vinton Baker Ford and Burrell Farm Implements all in Fairview. He moved to Yukon in 2005. In later years he worked for Wal Mart and was a member of Chisholm Heights Baptist Church. His parents, his wife Dayne and one sister Eleanor, preceded him in death. Survivors include one daughter Diana Mapes and husband Noel of El Reno, three sons David McCord and wife Terri of McKinney, TX, Donn McCord and wife Michelle of Jones and Brian McCord and wife Rachelle of Miami, OK. Also by sixteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and two sisters Frances Crosby and husband Eugene of Yukon and Kathy Martin of Seattle, WA. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to either the Children's Department or My Legacy at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church. Services will be held at 10am on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church with interment following in Red Hill Cemetery, Mustang. Arrangements are under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
