Funeral Services Today For Early Pioneer in Area
Funeral services for Earl Armstrong, 61, pioneer resident of the Range community, will be held in the Moore Mortuary at 2 p. m. this afternoon.
Armstrong, a brother of Ed and Fred Armstrong of Guymon, died Thursday morning during a cataract operation in an Abilene, Texas hospital. He lived at Roscoe, Texas. Burial will be in the Range cemetery beside the graves of his parents.
He was born March 25, 1888. [Note: year on tombstone is 1887]
He is survived by four brothers and five sisters. Besides the two brothers at Guymon there are Harry, Ft. Worth, Texas, Lew, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Lena Lowe and Mrs. Addy Hagerton, Colorado City, Texas, Mrs. Mable Roberts, Temple, Texas, Mrs. Tye Potter and Mrs. Irene Rex Conner, Modesto, California.

Plot: To get to the Range Cemetery, go east on Highway 3 from Hardesty, Oklahoma about 5 miles to mile-marker 52, turn right (south), go to Road EE (about 4 miles) and turn left; follow the blacktop until you get to the cemetery.
