News about their divorce was published in the Ardmore Daily Ardmoreite on Wednesday October 12, 1921.

"Wife Asks For Divorce Alleging Cruelty
Maggie Berry, full blood Mississippi Choctaw, of McMillen, Okla., has filed suit in district court for divorce from her husband, Arthur Berry, charging cruelty, non-support and disposal of her property.

It is asserted in the petition that Berry abused the plaintiff, cursed her, and applied vile epithets in public and in private, causing her pain and humiliation. She further alleges that their oldest daughter, sic years old, was taken from her by force and is being retained by the defendant. Mules and other property which came to her from the government, she holds, were sold by Berry and the moneys appropriated to his own use. She asks divorce, alimony, and $1,000 in Money."

His second marriage was to Elvener Farve around 1924. They had a daughter, Thelma Marie, in 1936. Elvener died on April 25, 1956.

"Rites Are Held For Arthur Berry
Services for Arthur Berry, formerly of Ardmore, who died Monday morning in Kerman, Cal., were held there Wednesday at 10 a.m. The body is being shipped to Ardmore for burial here.

Harvey funeral home will announce burial details.

Berry was a brother of Luther Berry, Ardmore constable. He has a twin brother, Oscar Berry, living in Gainesville, Texas."

"Funeral Rites for Berry Held
Services were Saturday afternoon in Harvey funeral chapel for Arthur Berry, 63, in Kerman, Cal., where he was working. The American Legion was in charge at the graveside and acted as pallbearers.

Dr. Karl H. Moore, First Baptist church, officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Elvener; four daughters, Mrs. Clara Alexander, Lamesa, Texas; Mrs. Lela Love, Modesto, Cal.; Miss Thelma Berry and Miss Lula Mae Berry, Kerman; six brothers, Luther, Ardmore; Oscar, Ada; Alvis, Johnnie and Charles, all of Kerman, and Willie, Minco; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Vaughn and nine grandchildren."
