From the Gate Valley Star -- April 25, 1918 - Front page:

The angel of death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Bowers, SR., Sunday morning and took from their home their little son, Frank Harry Bowers, Jr. He had been suffering from an attack of pneumonia and had been sick for the past 19 days.
Frank Harry was born May 29, 1917 in Harper County, Oklahoma and died April 14, 1918. His age was 10 months, 16 days. Four little sisters survive him: Esther May, Margaret Lena, Mildred Rose and Vivian Delpha. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Harper County, Oklahoma.

His absence leaves our hearts
All desolate,
He plucks our fairest, sweetest flower,
Too thick in every graveyard.
The little hillock represents
An angel in the sky.
Little children who love their
Redeemer
Are the jewels, precious jewels
His loved and His own,
His bright crown adorning
They shall shine in their beauty
Bright gems for his own.

"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy." Psalms 126:5
