Services for Eugene A. Adkins, 49, Garland, Texas formerly of Oklahoma City will be at 1 pm Tuesday at Siloam Bptist Church with burial in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, directed by McKay-Davis Mortuary.

Adkins died Thursday in Garland Texas.

Adkins, a native of the Oklahoma City area, moved to Houston, Texas in 1970. He was a driver for the Yellow Cab Co and a member of St. Mark Baptist Church in Houston.

He had attended Douglass High School.

Survivors include his wife, Vernia, Oklahoma City; four sons, Eugene A. III and Marvin D., both of Houston; Darryel L. Little Rock, Ark., and Abram T., Los Angeles; three daughters, Mrs. Loretta Brewer, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Delbet R. Tucker, Garland, and Mrs. Tonya D. Woods, Houston; a sister, Mrs. Kay Tipton, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Charles and Omega both of Los Angeles, and Robert, Oklahoma City; his mother, Mrs. Ozona Adkins, Oklahoma City and eight grandchildren.
