Don Wayne Armstrong, age 56, of Olustee, Oklahoma, passed away Friday
morning, May 7, 2010, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Don was born on November 26, 1953, to Richard and Patsy (Baker)
Armstrong in Brownsville, Texas. He was the oldest of seven children.
At the age of 14, his family moved from Vernon, Texas, to Burkburnett,
Texas, where he lived until 1998. During that same year, he moved to
Altus, Oklahoma for a short period, and then he moved to Olustee. Don
loved the Olustee area. He was a true cowboy and loved to cook on his
smoker and drink a few beers. He also enjoyed taking long rides on his
horses around the countryside.
Don married Julie Ann Tedford on May 20, 1996 in Burkburnett,
Texas. Their children instantly became brothers and sister, which gave Don
six children altogether.
He leaves behind his wife, Julie Ann; five sons, Jeremy Blake
Armstrong, Chad Wayne Armstrong, Larry "Bud" Moede, Gage Moede, and
Cole "Tuff" Anthony Tedford; one very special daughter, Kayla Mae
Armstrong; three grandchildren, who were his pride and joy…Raelynn
Delayne Armstrong (seven years old), Chadon Wayne Armstrong (four years
old), and Tessla Marie Armstrong (nine months old.) Don is also survived
by a very special former daughter-in-law, Kristina Armstrong; his mother,
Patsy Armstrong; four brothers, Jeffery Armstrong, Jimmy Armstrong,
Phillip Armstrong, and Charles Armstrong; one sister, Glendie Armstrong;
close friends, Jerry and Tonya Dodd and Cali and Jared Dodd, Richard
Ramirez, and many other friends and family.
