William Barker, 72, member of the Pawnee Indian tribe and of the Native American church passed away at the Pawnee Indian hospital Saturday after a short illness. Barker was born in Pawnee on Jan 2 1886. He was a retired farmer Funeral rites were at 2 pm Wednesday in the Poteet funeral chapel with Rev John Hubbard pastor of the Pawnee Indian Baptist Mission as officiant.

Survivors are two daughters Mrs. Lillie Faye of Dunlap Reno, Nev. and Josephine Baldwin of Los Angeles, Calif, one son Arthur Barker of Kansas City, Mo. and seven grandchildren.
