PEARL IDA ARMSTRONG

Funeral services were held January 21, 1987, at 2 p.m. in the First Christian Church, Drumright, for Pearl Ida Armstrong. She died January 19, in the Drumright Nursing Home at the age of 94.
Armstrong was born January 5, 1893, in Arkansas. She had made her home in Drumright for the past 12 years, after moving here from Oilton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Weddington, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Armstrong in 1968. One son, Gilbert Armstrong, also preceded her in death.
Bob Davis, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiated at her service. Serving as organist was Rosemary Holder with vocalist Mary Ruth Cushenberry and Lillian Umberham. Pallbearers were Ray and Scott Brandon, Ron Miller, Jack Bevel, Charles Taylor and Jim Staley.
Armstrong is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Parker of Drumright and Betty Moore of Oilton; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the Oilton Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of the Don Smith Funeral Home.
