Mary (sometimes called Margaret) Jane (Reynolds)Barnett, dau. of ?? Reynolds and Elizabeth Talbot Reynolds, came to Indian Terr. with her husband, John F. and her children from Mississippi, after the Civil War. They were married 29 Oct. 1871, Lee Co. MS. She had six children reach adulthood: Luvada Turney, Robt. Lee Barnett, Susan Ellen Montgomery, Sarah (Sallie) Timmons, and twins, John Ivy and Ida Jane Inman. Susan and Robert with spouses, are buried in the Non Cem. During the Depression years, there was no money for a widow to purchase a marker. Then, in 2002, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren put a dbl stone to their grandparents' grave. The Barnetts came through Texas with John F's parents, John B. & Minerva (Owen) Barnett, into Love Co. I.T., where John B.Barnett died, and possibly, Minerva; however, she could have died in Muskogee Co near Ft. Gibson. The Barnett extended family moved on into Pontotoc Co, near Roff, and into nearby counties of Grady, Hughes and Coal. After John F. died, Mary Jane took turns staying with her kids. She died at an advanced age just inside Coal County while at Robt. Lee's home.
