Albers Services To Be Saturday.
Funeral services for John Albers will be held Saturday, June 25, at 2:30 p.m. in the Kildare Methodist church with the Rev. R.O. Martin, of Ponca City, officiating.
Interment in the Newkirk cemetery will be under the direction of the Boatright-Weber Funeral Home.
John Adam Albers was born September 19, 1874 in Grafton, West Va., and died suddenly late Wednesday evening June 22, 1960, at his home in Kildare. He was married October 3, 1899 at Alum Bridge, West Virginia to Mary Ollie Dodd. Albers received his early education in Grafton and in 1909 he and his wife moved to Kildare, where they have continued to make their home. He engaged in farming all his life until his retirement 25 years ago.
Besides his wife of the home, Albers is survived by one son, John A. Albers, of Kildare, three daughters, Mrs. Wiley Johnson, Kildare, Mrs. Clarence Knearl, Ponca City, and Mrs. Homer Knearl, Stamford, Conn.; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Wanstreet, Mrs. Maggie Restle and Mrs. Irah Schmidt, and one brother, Henry Albers, all of West Virginia; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
