The Sorrows of death came once more to Mt. Olive and community when on Friday morning Mrs. Susie A. Barrett passed to her last resting place.
Susan A. Wagoner was born in Germany, March 23, 1866 and came to this country when a child. She married J. M. Barrett in 1882. She was converted and united with the Missionary Baptist Church more than 22 years ago. She was taken sick July 23 and died August 22, 1917, age 51 years 5 months.
Mrs. Barrett had lived in the Tabler community for several years and was well known. She was a faithful wife and loving mother and as a christian her influence was felt throughout the community. To know her was to love her.
July 23 she was taken sick and it was found necessary that an operation be performed from which she never recovered.
The remains were laid to rest in the Naples cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Cox at 4:30 o'clock Thursday evening.
Mrs. Barrett leaves a husband, four children, eight grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn their loss. The community hereby express their heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved mourners.
