Cuba Louise Bradt, daughter of Thomas and Harriet (VanErck) Inman, was born April9, 1907, at Kirwin, Kansas. She passed from this life at the Western Nursing Home, Buffalo, Oklahoma, on the 31st day of May, 1993, at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 22 days.
The family came to Oklahoma when Cuba was just a small child and they established their home North of Freedom.
On February 14, 1929, at Alva, Cuba and Evert LeRoy Bradt were married and to this union two sons were born, Loyd and Russel.
Cuba, along with her husband, Evert, worked on the Snapp Ranch for 37 years. Cuba also cooked at the Center View Grade School for about 20 years. She liked and enjoyed cooking. When she told the students she was retiring, the kids told her if she didn't cook they weren't going to school. In 1973, Cuba and Evert retired and moved to Buffalo.
Cuba accepted the Lord as her personal Savior many years ago. The family attended the Elkhorn Church where she was Sunday School Secretary and Teacher. On moving to Buffalo, she joined the Assembly of God Church.
Cuba is preceded in death by her husband in 1979, her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
She leaves as her survivors her sons, Loyd and his wife Leona, of Freedom, Russel and his wife, Donna, of Selman, 9 Grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Friday, June 4, 1993, at 2:00 P.M. in the First Assembly of God Church, Woodward, with the Rev. Paul Sharpe, pastor, officiating. Elma Miller was organist and accompanied by Russell Ball as he sang "One Day At A Time" and "What A Day That Will Be". Pallbearers were Sonny Wagner, Gilbert Carlson, Stanley Schroeder, Raymond Bentley, Roy Johnson and R.A. Bentley. Burial was in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Freedom. Seeger Funeral Home, Buffalo, was in charge of arrangements.
