GENE AUTRY -- Services for Loss Ray Antwine will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Gene Autry, with the Rev. Kirk Rushing officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Kirk-Dawson-Dillard Funeral Home.
Antwine died May 28, 1997, in the local hospital after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 17, 1935, to Walter and Charity Bell Antwine.
He was a lifelong resident of Carter County and was employed by Day Construction Co. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Paul "Fuzzy," and Danny, Ardmore; a daughter, Nancy, Oklahoma City; stepdaughter, Betty, Ardmore; his mother, Charity Antwine; and brother, Walter, Ardmore; three sisters, Helen Love, Oklahoma City, Louvenia and Ethel Bell Antwine, Ardmore; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elbert and Dewey; and three sisters, Berline, Josephine and Bobbie Jean.
Bearers will be Melvina and Charles Breath, Sanford Lorens, Ronnie, Barry, Anthony and L.C. Antwine, Wilbert Wright and Kevin Halstied. Honorary bearers are A.C. Hill, Gary Antwine, Reggie Berryman, Clifford Hayes and Otis Love.
