He departed this life May 16, 1919. At the advanced age of 84 years and 6 days. He married Cecelia Dotson of Wise County,Va. and reared a large family, there being seven children left to
survive him. William Zemery, Robert E. L., Emily Drusilla, Sarah Jane, Emmett B., Cynthia and Etta. He obeyed his master in baptism in the year of 1875 and lived a devoted Christian life until called to his reward. His noble character was imprinted in the life of his children. He was a loving husband and a kind compassionate father. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.
He moved to Caddo County, Oklahoma in 1906, where he made his home until the death of Sister Cantrell in 1910. Since that time he has made his home among his children, and died at the home of his daughter, Sister Creed Lane (Etta) in Auburn, Washington.
Funeral services were conducted near Hydro, Oklahoma, after which all that was mortal of Brother Cantrell was laid to rest beside his companion in the cemetery near where his son W.Z.
Cantrell and daughter Cynthia Epperly live.
He has gone to his reward, let us not sorrow as for those who have no hope. Blessed are they who die in the Lord.
