MILO -- Graveside rites for W.R. "Fred" Butler, 86, Graham, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Milo Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Wise officiating.
Butler died May 5, 1998, in an Ardmore health care facility after an extended illness. He was born Oct. 10, 1911, in Ardmore, to A.D. and Ida Keller Butler.
He married Lucille Mauldin Oct. 8, 1936, at Milo, and lived in Hinton, Ardmore and California before moving to Graham in 1975. He was a farmer and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; six sons, Bob, Ardmore, Charles, Weatherford, Donald, Ringwood, Kenneth, Vian, Larry and Ronald, Hydro; two daughters, Louise Murray, Hydro, and Sharon Harris, Graham; two brothers, Carroll, Ada, and A.D., Ardmore; 28 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Leon, April 10, 1991.
Reser Funeral Home will direct services.
