Darren Joseph Peacore, 26, of Shawnee, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, near Meeker as the result of an auto accident.
Services will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31, at First Indian Baptist Church. Tribal rites will follow at the McKosato Home on Moccasin Trail. Burial will be Thursday morning at the McKosato Cemetery.
Walker Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Darren Joseph Peacore age 27, of Shawnee, departed from this life Saturday, August 27,2011.
Darren was born November 29,1984 at Carl Albert Indian Hospital in Ada, to John Briggs and Francine Peacore and a member of the Sac and Fox Nation.
He attended Defiance High School, in Ohio before excitedly entering the workforce. Darren never knew a stranger. He was phenomenally generous with a calming spirit and a contagious laugh. He enjoyed his position at Central Expanded Metal in Chandler and was well known as a hard and dedicated worker. He was a well-loved son, brother, uncle and friend to all who had the privilege to know him.
Darren is survived by his parents Francine Peacore of Shawnee, John Briggs of Kansas City, Mo. and Bill Braley of San Diego, Calif.; brother Brad Braley and his daughters Ivrie and Jazzmin of Sacramento, Calif.; grandparents Howard and Kateri Jordan of La Mirada, Calif., John and June Kermode of Ridgecrest, Calif.; Uncles, Michael W. Green of Shawnee, Richie Jordan and Jimmy Jordan of California, David Jordan of Guam; Aunts Mary Lou Pea-core and Carol Harjo both of Shawnee, Michelle Kermode, Linda Johnson, Sheila Dornish and Neicy Jordan of Calif., Janell Tramell of Tecumseh; Cousins, Faith Jacoway and Michael J. Green, both of Shawnee, Jeremiah Green of Lacey, Wash., Savannah Miller of Arlington Texas, Philip Peacore and Brandy Peacore of Shawnee; as well as his brother and sisters in spirit, Samantha Smith and Eric Gilmore of Ohio and Victor and Jennifer Cataneda.
Darren is preceded in death by his grandparents Leon and Frances Peacore; his uncles Joaquin Miller, Randall Peacore and David Peacore.
