Overbrook — Graveside services for Ginger Gail Bamburg are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday morning in McAlister Cemetery at Overbrook with Rev. Buddy Jackson officiating.
Ginger was born April 20, 1958, in Ardmore to Bruce and Marcella Smith. She passed this life on April 5, 2011, in a traffic accident in Love County. Ginger was happiest outdoors, whether doing her many daily chores of feeding, watering, or maintaining her many animals and her gardens or just gazing at the stars. Ginger rescued many unwanted animals that needed a good home, she loved all animals and nature. She also loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Peyton. Ginger was of the Baptist faith and was employed at WinStar World Casino.
She is survived by her two sons, Waylon Bamburg and his wife, Bridgett of Burneyville, Wesley Bamburg of Baton Rouge, La.; her parents, Bruce and Marcella Smith of Overbrook; two sisters, Stacy Sullivan and her husband, John of Ardmore, and Shelly Hope Smith of Ardmore. She is also survived by her granddaughter Peyton Jewel Bamburg; and her nephew, Justin Arledge and his daughter, Jillian. Ginger will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are her endless list of friends.
