Johnnie Jackson was delivered as a precious gift from God on Feb. 23, 1939 to Eddie and Wilma Jackson.

He received his early education at Rock Hill Elementary in Porter, and later attended Carter G. Woodson High School in Tullahassee.


Johnnie met and married Maeola (Nelson) to this union three children were born.

Johnnie later married Delphine and to this union, three children were born.

He worked many years in farming and in his later years he worked with drywall.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, E.D.; two sisters, Annie Mae Walker and Iona McNack; son, Emmett Jackson, and one daughter, Sharon Jackson.

He is survived by his companion, Delphine Trimble, of Porter; two sons, Michael Jackson and Jennifer, of Dallas, and Johnnie Jackson Jr. and Danielle, of Muskogee; two daughters, Ramona Jackson, of Minneapolis, and Johnita Walton and Lemorris, of Porter; two brothers, Willie Jackson, of Long Beach, Calif. and Caldwell Jackson and Carolyn of Tulsa and one sister, Teola (Trent) Gay, of Tulsa; along with several nieces, nephews and friends, who are sure to miss him.

Services were held Saturday, April 3 with Reverend Charles Smith officiating and burial followed at Lincoln Cemetery in Porter.
