Son of the late Hetsel and Naomi Nelson Breckenridge, he was a graduate of Kremlin High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Clements. He was survived by his wife, Edna R. Sanders-Kliewer (married on August 15, 1967, in Enid, OK).
Additionally, he was survived by a daughter, Trecia Breckenridge; sons, William Kliewer, Chris Kliewer, Terry Breckenridge, Ty Breckenridge, David Kliewer, Jeff Kliewer and Jay Breckenridge; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Joann Watkins; and an extended family of relatives. He was a U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He worked for Champlin Oil Refinery for 32 years and and two years in the office. His funeral was held April 6, 2010, with The Rev. Bob Crowder and The Rev. David Kliewer officiating.
