JoAnn Marie Adams, 77, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Claremore, Oklahoma.

She was born on January 16, 1936 in Seminole, Oklahoma, the daughter of Edison Carter and Vernes (Blackwell) Carter.

She worked as bookkeeper for North Point Ford for many years. She was a member of the Chouteau Church of Christ. JoAnn was an avid OU fan and a fan of PBR. She enjoyed traveling to Santa Fe, New Mexico and being in the mountains. She especially enjoyed Yellowstone. A lovely lady who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside Services for JoAnn will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma with Minister Steve Lay officiating. She is survived by her brother, Roy Carter and wife, Shirley of Pensacola, Florida; one granddaughter, Brandy Carter and one great grandson, Dakota; many other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nealon Adams; her son, Kevin Adams; her parents, Edison and Vernes Carter; brothers, Robert Carter and Henry Perkins Carter; sister, Mary Jean Bucy.
