MILO -- Services for William L. "Daddy Will" Douglas will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jehovah Baptist Church with the Rev. E.J. Toles officiating. Interment will be at Hickory Cemetery under the direction of Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary.
Douglas was born to Miles and Annie Brown Douglas Sept. 11, 1909. He died Feb. 18, 2001, at his residence.
He attended St. John School and was baptized and united with Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
On Sept. 21, 1928, he married a shy, beautiful young lady by the name of Lillie Anderson. To this union they were blessed with seven children. Affectionately known as Mama Liller, she and Daddy Will shared more than 72 years blissful years together before God called him to rest on Sunday morning Feb. 18, 2001.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, of the home; Cecile and husband Huldon Fox, Wilbur and wife Shirley Douglas, Clint Douglas of Kansas City, Mo., and adopted son, Frank and wife Merylyn Roberts, Kansas City, Mo.; Miles and wife Alma Douglas, and Benester Douglas of Ardmore, and Jaunda West of Enid; 43 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
