MILO -- Funeral services for Shirley Jean Brown, 57, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at Jehovah Baptist Church in Milo. The Rev. Willie J. Wallace and the Rev. Reuben Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Hickory Cemetery under the direction of Kirk Funeral Home.
Shirley was born to Leo and Laura Shannon in Milo on Aug. 24, 1949. She died on Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, in a local hospital. She lived her entire life in Carter and Stephens counties. She attended Central School in Milo and Graham High School. When employed, she was a machine operator at Halliburton in Duncan, and a CNA at Duncan Health Care Center.
She and Eugene Brown were married on Jan. 17, 1969. She was a longtime member of Jehovah Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother and sister. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Brown, of the home; two daughters, Veronica, Lawton, and April, Ardmore; two sons, Eugene Jr. and Bo of Ardmore; eight sisters, Yvonne Abram, Willie Lee, Dean Anderson, Peggy Stevenson, Pam Smith, Sandra Shannon and Rae Ann Shannon, all of Milo, and Vernita Stevenson, Ardmore; four brothers, Earl C. and Clenard, both of Milo, Lincoln and Tilmon, both of Oklahoma City; and 11 grandchildren.
