Danny Dale Carroll was born August 31, 1945 at Orr, OK, the son of Roy and Leona Wallace Carroll. He passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 67.

Danny had been a resident of Love County all of his life. He and Alta Faye Holland were married January 7, 1966 on the Jefferson County Line. Danny worked for the Soil Conservation Service assisting area farmers and was also employed as Road Foreman for Love County District 3. He was a founder/member/trustee of Christ Tabernacle Church as well as lead musician for 18 years. Danny loved playing music, especially guitar and fiddle. He also enjoyed horses.

Preceding him in death were his parents; five brothers, Jack Carroll, Benny Carroll, Bobby Carroll, Kenneth Carroll and Tommy Carroll; and three sisters, Oleta Brandon, Dorothy Jo Lyle and Shirley Hunt.

Survivors include his wife, Alta Faye Carroll of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Stanley Dale and Tisha Carroll of Marietta; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Hawkins of Ringling, OK and Mary and Curtis Williams of Wilson, OK; two grandsons, Jason D. Carroll and Jacob M. Carroll; and 21 nieces and nephews.

Serving as bearers will be Sammy Lyle, Dennis Hawkins, Donnie Hawkins, Kenny Williams, Steve Carroll and Blake Carroll. Honorary bearers are Jason D. Carroll, Jacob M. Carroll, Derrick Moore, Ricky Lyle and Jacob Carroll.
