ANOTHER OLD SOLDIER GONE.
Hiram S. Barger was born in Pope County, Illinois, March 6, 1828 and died on May 8, 1902, having reached the ripe old age of seventy-four years, two months, and two days.
In 1847 Mr. Barger was married to Adaline Twitchell.
When the war broke out he enlisted in Company E of the 120th Ill. Infantry, and was mustered out at the close of the war.
In the year 1870 he moved to Kansas where he burried his wife in 1873.
Since 1889 until his death he resided with his son G. S. Barger in Clayton township.
The funeral was conducted at Eden Chapel, May 9, and the remains laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery.
