• Services for Lano 'Slim' Bridgman, 86, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cheek Baptist Church with the Rev. Billie Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at Cheek Cemetery.
Born Jan. 3, 1916, in Enville to John and Nora Lee Pickering Bridgman, he died March 6, 2002, at a local nursing facility. He was preceded in death by a son, Lano Bridgman; six brothers and three sisters.
He married Irene Tankersley on Nov. 2, 1948, in Gainesville, Texas.
Bridgman had lived in the Ardmore area all of his life. He was a farmer and a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three daughters, Lana Kirby, Ardmore, Donna Wood, Houston, and Joni Welliington, Ada; three sisters, Dorothy Wilson, Thackerville, Edith Mitchell, Gainesville, and Terry McClain, Ardmore; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Ray Tankersley, Christopher Kirby, Randall and Joe Wood, Troy Harris and Lester Tankersley.
Services are under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.
