Charlesetta leaves to cherish her memories six children: Michael, of Great Falls, Montana; Shelwyn, Vicki, Cathy and husband, Eddie; Keith and wife, Angie; and Bryant, all of Oklahoma City; twenty grandchildren, six great grandchildren and husband, Earnest Florie, of the home in Holdenville, Oklahoma; one sister, Loethel Lottie, of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother, O.C. Brown and wife, Martha, of Oklahoma City; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
"Charlesetta", "Charly", "MaMa", "Grandma", "Granny", as she was affectionately called by family and friends worked much, gave much, loved much, and lived for her children and their children. At an early age, Charlesetta was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Holdenville and attended Lincoln Vocational High School. She worked for many years at Boyce Manor Nursing Home and retired several years ago from Holdenville General Hospital. She had a character of love and humility for all people; she was a joyful and kind-hearted person.
Funeral services are to be held at 12:00 pm, on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Holdenville. Mrs. Florie will be laid to rest at Buckner Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
