Fay Delbert Ayres, my maternal Grandfather, was born 25 Feb 1905 near Pawnee, Oklahoma Territory. His twin brother's name is Ray Albert Ayres. Their parents are Thomas Jefferson Ayres and Mary Malinda Shaffer Clarkson Ayres. He is one of nine children born to them. He married Fern Marian Barrett. They had six children: Ralph, Carolyn, Verna Faye, Orbin, Margie and Jane Alice. He loved carpentry and gardening. He was the supervisor on the NEO A&M college stadium project and the Neosho river bridge at the Miami, OK park.
