Funeral services for Peggy Colleen (Smith) Elliott, 46, sister to Seminole residents Carolyn May and Larry Smith, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Capitol Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Euel Bowen officiating and Rev. Wade Scott assisting. Interment will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home. Elliott died Sunday at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan. She was born July 6, 1951 in Holdenville to Bun and Marie Smith. Elliott attended Holdenville schools and graduated in 1969. She married William Irvin Elliott Sept. 12, 1969 in the Capitol Heights Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member. He survives her of the home. Because of her husband's career in the Army, she had lived all over the United States. Elliott had spent the past four years in Wichita, Kan., where she was a cashier supervisor in the commisary on McConnell Air Force Base. Other survivors include one son, David Elliott, Rose Hill, Kan.; two daughters, Michelle Au, Jefferson, Wis., and Sherrie Diggins, Rose Hill, Kan.; three sisters, Geraldine Smith and Sharon Brinlee, both of Holdenville, and Carolyn May of Seminole; two brothers, Larry Smith, Seminole and Gary Smith, Stigler. Pallbearers were John Paul Cosper, Kerry Dean Brinlee, Kraig Taylor, Rodney May, Daniel Taylor and Tommy May. Honorary pallbearers were Ryan Smith, Daniel Taylor, Robert Keith Sanford and Darell Morgan.
