Mae BALLARD, aged 89 and a longtime resident of this area, died Monday in an Amarillo hospital.
She was born on May 18, 1895 in Marshall county, Tenn., the daughter of E. S. and Ida Claxton TROLLINGER. The family moved to the Gray, Okla. area som 70 years ago.
She was married to Sam BALLARD in 1914 at Balko, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1954.
She was a Methodist.
Funeral services are to be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Harold McClain, Nazarene minister, and Rev. Tracy Wilson, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery, under the direction of Boxwell Brothers.
Surviving are a son, Monroe, of Perryton; a sister, Odessa EDWARDS of Perrtyon; a brother, Cecil TROLLINGER of Pampa; four grandchldren; and six great-grandchildren.
