In March 1904, she and her two brothers, Ed and Will PATTERSON came to Beaver County in a wagon, and filed on claims, and moving there six months later. Mrs. CARTER has lived on her homestead almost continuously since, making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ed CLAYBROOK, the first few years.
She leaves to mourn her passing: three children, Wm. A. CARTER, Hardesty, Okla., and Mrs. H. W. GATES, Poteet, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; two brothers, Price S. PATTERSON, Miami, Fla.; Wm. N. PATTERSON, Roseville, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Sophie RANKIN, Loomis, Calif.
She was a kind and loving mother and a friend to all. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed.
