The Norman Transcript

NORMAN Bobby Glenn Croslin, 72, of Texarkana, Texas, died on the ninth day of September after losing his battle with cancer. Glenn was born on May 18, 1939 in Pink to Wallace and Goldie (McBroom) Croslin. He attended Shawnee High School where he met and married his sweetheart, Shirley Ann Parsons on June 19, 1959. They were married for 52 years and had two children, Vicki and Gerald. During that time Glenn enjoyed many years of playing softball for the Fred Jones Falcons, fishing, hunting and many skiing trips with family and friends.

He moved his family from Oklahoma City to the farm in Slaughterville in 1973. He built their home himself and enjoyed many years of happy memories that will be treasured. He retired from Fred Jones Manufacturing in 1984 with 27 years of service. He then began Croslin Dozer Service for the next 15 years before his retirement again.

Glenn loved to tell a good joke which was always followed by his own laugh. If you were teased by him you knew that he cared about you. One of his grandsons said it best, he built so much more than people saw with their eyes, he built a strong family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Wallace and Goldie Croslin, his brothers; Raymond and Charles Croslin, his brother-in-law Charles Gowin, his son-in-law Donnie Butts and a granddaughter Bobbie Dawn Butts.

Glenn is survived by his devoted wife Shirley Ann Croslin, sister Irma Jean Gowin, sisters-in-law; Joy Croslin and Ruth Hitchcock, one daughter Vicki Dodson and husband Terry, one son Gerald Croslin and wife Linda, seven randchildren; Junior Matthews, Misty and Bobby Jones, Brandy and Wes White, Brett Dodson, Chris Croslin, Lauren Dodson and Austin Butts, eight great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Banner Cemetery with Rev. Dean Stone officiating. Services are under the direction of McMahans Funeral Home.
