Services At Oney For T.F. Barbee
One of the early day settlers of the state and a resident of Caddo county since 1916 was lost in the passing of T.F. Barbee who died at his home in Swan Lake on Christmas day.
Funeral services were held at the Oney Christian church Saturday by R.E. Harvey of Fort Cobb and burial was made in the Oney cemetery.
Mr. Barbee was born in Tennessee June 28, 1867 and was 74 years of age at the time of his death. He was married to Nettie Williams in 1901 an to them six children were born.
Survivors include the widow and the children who are Dacre Barbee of California, Sammie Barbee of Claremore, Mrs. Bessie Mooter and Mrs. Ruby McAnally of Fort Cobb; Mrs. Lettie Francis and Mrs. Nadine Chambers of Carnegie; also 12 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were L.L. Sesline, Wm. Griffin, Claude Harris, J.H. Belast, Davie Janisons and Lee Anthony. The songs were rendered by Dave Hamilton, Clint Applewhite, Mrs. Monroe Elliott and Bonnie Compton, accompanied by Miss Crowell.
