Scenic Infant Dies Enroute To New Underwood
Scenic, March 10 --- Services were to be held at the Catholic church here today for Leona Bessette, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Bessette of Scenic. The two years, eight-months-old child died Friday afternoon while the parents were taking it to the New Underwood hospital. The baby had been ill for several days.
The infant was born at Scenic July 17, 1938, and was one of a pair of twins. The other twin, Leland, died at the age of five months.
