Rochford-Services for Mrs. Lyle (Beatrice P.) Barker, longtime Rochford resident will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Rochford Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Bailey of Lead Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Rochford Cemetery under the direction of Wells Funeral Home of Deadwood.
Mrs. Barker died Monday afternoon at a Rapid City hospital.
She was born Nov. 12, 1904 at Angus, Iowa and came to the Black Hills at an early age. She married Lyle Barker in 1921 at Deadwood.
She was a member of the Rochford Community Church.
Surviving are her husband, a son, Lyle Eugene, Rapid City; seven daughters, Mrs. Vern (Betty Harvey and Mrs Edward Griffin of Richland, Wash; Mrs. LeRoy (Beverly) Howey of Deerfield, Mrs. Delvin (Peggy) Mason of Lead, Mrs. Bill (Patsy) Potratz of Chicago, Mrs. Kenneth (Jessie) Nelson of Deadwood and Mrs. Gary (Sharon) Frohme, Okinawa; her mother, Mrs. Emily Smith and two brothers Harold and Morris Walker of Floweree, Mont; 24 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established and donations may be made in her name to the Boys and Girls clubs of Rapid City or any other charity.
