Warren was born the son of Erven and Violet (Neumiller) Aman. He grew up on the family farm near Java, SD, graduated from Java High School in 1968. Warren enlisted in the U.S. Navy in November of 1968 and served on the USS Ranger during the Vietnam Conflict before his discharge in 1973. He enrolled in truck driving school in Oklahoma, upon completion drove truck in the Bismarck—Mandan, ND area for a number of years. In 1976, he moved to Volga and enrolled at South Dakota State University in General Ag studies. Warren was united in marriage to Louella Goedtke in Fulda, MN on January 13, 1979. In 1990, the family moved to Volga where he reenrolled at S.D.S.U. and graduated with a degree in Ag Business and Journalism in May of 1993. He worked various jobs until, returning to drive truck fulltime for Land O' Lakes in 1996. He continued to drive until 2007 when he began operating and maintaining his rental properties.

His many hobbies included HAM radio, flying his airplane, attending air shows, playing accordion, Polka music and spending time with his family and friends.

Warren was a member of First Lutheran Church in Volga, the American Legion, the V.F.W. and was also a member of the A.O.P.A. pilots association.

Warren & Louella are the parents of one son, Michael Aman and his wife Kayla & daughter Terri who preceded Warren in death.

Warren's siblings include Leslie Aman, Elaine Schiebner, Anita Rau, Norma Wolff.
