Edwin Henery Drewitz was the son of John Fred and Alvina Büchler Drewitz. He had three siblings from this marriage Mathilda Friedericka, Oscar John and Alvin. After his father died his mother married Martin P Eisenbraun at which point he gained several step-siblings Leo Henry, Edmund Herbert, Oscar W, Otto J and Erwin E Eisenbraun.

WALL - Edwin H. "Willie" Drewitz, 80, Wall and formerly of Creighton, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at Black Hills Beverly Health Care Center in Rapid City.
Survivors include one sister, Mathilda "Tillie" Eisenbraun, Wall, and a stepbrother, Edmond Eisenbraun, Creighton.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Rush Funeral Chapel in Wall, and for one hour before services Saturday, Sept. 27, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Creighton.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Monty Dell officiating. Burial will be at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Creighton.
A memorial has been established.

Edwin H. "Willie" Drewitz was born November 15, 1922, on a farm near Clayton, South Dakota, the son of John and Alvina (Beuchler) Drewitz.
As a child he moved with his parents to a farm near Bowdle, South Dakota and later moved to Wolsey, South Dakota.
While in Wolsey, his father John passed away. Later, his mother married Martin Eisenbraun and their two families joined and moved to the Martin Eisenbraun homestead in Creighton, South Dakota. After their move west, Edwin worked in Quinn for the NYA before working on the homestead as a ranch hand. Edwin continued to live and work on the ranch until March of 1998, when he moved in to Wall. On October 30, 2002, Willie moved into the Black Hills Beverly Healthcare Center in Rapid City, where he has since resided.
Willie's pride and joy was working with the farm animals and all the surroundings.
Grateful for having shared his life are a sister Mathilda "Tillie" Eisenbraun of Wall; a step-brother Edmond Eisenbraun and his wife Goldie of Creighton; two nephews and their families, Roger Eisenbraun of Spearfish, and his children Keith and his wife Natasha of Wright, Wyoming, Heather Eisenbraun of Wall, Ryan Eisenbraun and his wife Cassie of Philip, and Jason and Seth Eisenbraun of Spearfish; Alvin Eisenbraun and his wife Sandra of Wall and their children DeeDee Eisenbraun and her son Damion of Wall; Kalvin Eisenbraun of Spearfish, Brittany Eisenbraun of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Darick Eisenbraun of Wall; a niece Margie Eisenbraun of Wall; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Drewitz of Wall, and Elnora Drewitz of Rapid City; a step-sister-in-law Margaret Eisenbraun of Creighton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; step-father Martin Eisenbraun; two brothers Alvin "Al" and Oscar Drewitz; and four step-brothers Leo, Erwin, Oscar, and Otto Eisenbraun.
Edwin H. "Willie" Drewitz, age 80, of Wall, and formerly of Creighton, died Wednesday night at the Black Hills Beverly Health Care Center in Rapid City.
Visitation was held on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Rush Funeral Chapel in Wall and one hour before the services at the church in Creighton on Saturday.
Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Saturday September 27, 2003 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Creighton with Vicar Monty Dell officiating.
Interment was in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Creighton.
A memorial is established.
