MRS. ROY ADAMS PASSES AWAY
Melinda Estella Lockridge was born March 24, 1884 in Washington Township, Lucas County, and departed this life at her home near Russell after a brief illness with pneumonia on April 8, 1924 at the age of 40 years and 15 days.
On February 15, 1905 she was united in marriage to LeRoy Adams. To this union were born five children, Orval A. aged 17; Anna M. aged 15; Quincy E. aged 13; Rohema E. aged 10 and Homer W. aged 5.
She is survived by her husband, five children and two brothers, Albert W. and Clarence E., both of Russell. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lockridge preceded her in death, also one sister and six brothers, four dying in infancy; Charley, who died in camp at Ft. Worth, Tex. on April 18, 1918 and Sherman who passed away a few days later at his nome near Russell.
She was a devoted wife and mother and ever anxious for the welfare of her family. She will be greatly missed by the entire community.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday April 10th at the Trinity church by Rev. A. E. Beals assisted by Rev. W. C. McKinley. Interment was made in the Russell cemetery.
