Rites held for Mrs. Boender
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday for Mrs. Dick (Louise) Boender, 68, who died Monday at the Monroe County Hospital.
Donald Plum, lay pastor, conducted the service at Faith Community Church in Eddyville. Burial was in Pleasant Corners Cemetery, with the Geyer-Lewis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Boender was born Sept. 9, 1904, the daughter of Gideon and Carrie Bloomer Van Loon. She married Dick Boender on Aug. 11, 1926, and he survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Carrie Van Loon of Eddyville; one son, Gerald of Eddyville; three grandchildren; one brother, Dick Van Loon, of Eddyville; and one sister, Betty Gregus.
