Toledo Chronicle - January 1927 Obit - CLUTIER:
Carl Arp, a former resident of Oneida township, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Emma Lorenzen, at Trosky, Minnesota, at the age of 50 years and 9 days. He had been
ill with cancer for about eight years.
Mr. Arp was born at Wentdorf, Schleiswig-Holstein, Germany and lived there until he was eight years old, when he and his parents came to this country (emigrated March 25, 1885) and settled on a farm near Davenport, Scott County, Iowa. They lived there about two years.

In 1887, the family moved to a farm near Dysart, Tama county, Iowa where Mr. Arp lived until six years ago, when he left for Pipestone County, Minnesota to make his home with relatives.

Funeral services were held at Trosky, Minnesota after which the body was brought to Clutier for burial.
Services, in charge of Rev. Kitterer, of the Dysart Lutheran Church, were held at the Richard Arp home Friday at noon, and burial was made in Oneida Cemetery.
The pall-bearers were Ed, Arthur, Alfred and Hugo Norden, Peter Krutzfeldt and Fred Dethlefs. Mr. Arp never married. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Emma Lorenzen, Trosky; and four brothers, Herman Arp, Trosky; Otto Arp, Hardwick, Minnesota; Henry Arp, Ludington, Michigan, and Richard Arp, Clutier.

CARL ARP SUCCUMBED TO PNEUMONIA MONDAY - Elmer Township Farmer passed Away -
Burial at Dysart, Iowa:
The death of Carl W. Arp, a resident of Elmer township, Pipestone county, occurred Monday, December 27th, 1926. His death was caused by pneumonia. Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Thursday morning at a church at Trosky, following which the remains were taken to Dysart, Iowa for burial. The late Mr. Arp was born in Germany on December 8, 1876. He had reached the age of fifty years and nineteen days at the time of his death. Mr. Arp was not married. He resided at the home of his sister, Mrs. Emma Lorenzen.
