DAVID FRAZEE BELL
- - Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the Morgan Funeral Home for David Frazee Bell, 70, who died Friday afternoon, March 30, 1945, at his down-town apartment of a heart attack.
The Rev. H. B. Fay, pastor of the Methodist Church in Reasnor, Iowa was in charge of funeral services and interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
During the service, Mrs. Maurice Rodgers sang "Ivory Palaces" and "In the Garden." Pallbearers were Jack Petted, William Petted, Carroll Mateer, Harold Mateer, J.M.Carnahan and Francis Marqueton.
Mr. Bell was born just east of Reasnor, Iowa Aug. 14, 1874, attended the Jasper county schools,Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from the Lincoln College in Lincoln, Nebraska.
In February, 1900, he was married to Clemenza Edna Mateer of Draper, near Monroe.
To this couple were born 10 children, one dying in infancy. Also preceding him in death are his wife, who succumbed 16 years ago, his parents, and one brother and sister.
Living all his life in Jasper county,with the exception of several years when he lived in the northern part of the state at Churdan, Iowa, Mr. Bell was a retired dairyman and livestock food salesman.
He is survived by 9 children: Mrs. Grace Robison of Newton, Iowa; Harry Bell of Pitsburg, California; Homer and Murray Bell of Medford, Oregon; Mrs. Lois Gartland and Mrs. Lola Cordery of ElFegundo, California; Mrs. Hazel Laird of Reasnor, Iowa; Pvt. Jack
Bell, serving in France; and Joe Bell, serving with the navy in San Diego, California.
Mr. Bell was a member of the Reasnor Methodist Church.
