Nora Boring, the daughter of John and Anna Gereimann Withoelter, was born November 21, 1903 at Detmold, Missouri. She was baptized and confirmed at the Stone Hill Church at Detmold and came with her parents to the Paullina area at the age of 15.

She was united in marriage to James L. Boring at Cherokee, Iowa on February 6, 1929. They farmed for many years until retiring and moving into the town of Calumet. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ of Calumet.

She passed away at the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar, Iowa on March 21, 1977 at the age of 73. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Jim, in October of 1976.

Left to cherish her memory are one brother, George, and his wife Clara of Calumet and five sisters, Mrs. Dan (Ida) Hoeman of Hartley, Mrs. Hartwig (Lydia) Jurgensen and Mrs. Viola Mugge, both of Calumet, Mrs. Don (Elsie) Klatt of Omaha, Nebraska, and Mrs. Kermit (Mildred) Jensen of Chandler, Arizona, as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
