Mintie Mahala Morrison was born in Lee County, Iowa, March 1, 1865, and came with her parents to Appanoose county in 1881, locating on the farm which has since been her home with the exception of the first five years after her marriage to Mr. E. E. Bollman on March 16, 1909, when they lived on the adjoining farm. The farm is located near Jerome, and it was here that she united with the Methodist church at an early age and following this has lived a consistent Christian life.
Mrs. Bollman has been in poor health for about four years but was able both to be about in her home and to ride out in fact was out the day before her death which came without any notice and was a severe shock to both relatives and friends, it was on Dec. 22, 1931, at the age of 66 years, 9 months, and 22 days.
She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. (Rev.) Sarah Kershaw of Jerome, two brothers, William S. Morrison of Plano, Ia., and B. A. Morrison of Jerome; two nieces, Mrs. Mary Jones of Ottumwa, Ia., and Mrs. Ida Mincks of Jerome, beside her many friends.
The pastor, Jas. A. Wilson, conducted the funeral services at the church in Jerome at 2 p.m. Thursday and the burial was in the Jerome cemetery.
