Dr C A Adams, a veterinarian of this community for nearly twenty-five years, passed away at his home in this city last Sunday evening, of heart disease. Dr Adams had been in ill health for about four and a half years and has been bedfast since October 15th.

Mr Adams was born on the twenty-first of October, 1860, at Bainbridge, Ohio, and died Sunday evening, November the second, 1919, at his home in State Center, Iowa.

He was one of a family of eight children. When he was five years of age the family moved to Illinois. At the age of twenty-two he went to Kansas, returning to Illinois after four years. Subsequently he came to Iowa, and for twenty-one years has been a citizen of State Center. In the year 1894 he was married to Miss Nellie George. Three children- Theron, George and Imogene - have been born to them, all of whom are living at home. Four sisters and two brothers also survive Mr Adams. They are: Sarah Adams, Mrs Justus Harris and Mrs C MacBoyle of Chicago; Mrs H Hausier of Mendota, Illinois; John Adams of Sheldon, N.D. and O.F. Adams of New York City.

The funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church. Interment was made in Hillside cemetery.

All his friends, made in his practice as a Veterinarian, and by his life as a citizen and a neighbor, extend their sympathy to the family who mourn his departure.
