Bob was born May 9, 1923, the son of Earl and Katherine Allen. He served in the US Army Aircorps during WWII, was self employed in the trucking industry and was also one of the founders of the Summertime Potato Company. Bob enjoyed traveling and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; two daughters, Pam Kish of Spokane, WA, and Barbara Hope of Sydney, Australia; one son, David Allen of New Virginia, IA; a brother, John Allen of Bismark, ND; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Westover Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
