The Turkey Creek Cemetery was established Feb 11, 1882, 3 1/2 miles north of Uniontown, KS. The land was donated for this cemetery by Eliza Holt Anderson, wife of George W. Anderson(1825---d.1863 or 1869). Eliza Holt Anderson was a sister of James J. (Judge) Holt and William Holt, the survivor of Marmaton Massacre.
