The John and South Carolina "Carrie" (Hopper) Corel/Correll Family

John was the only son of William C. and Margret Ann (McGee) Corel. John was born in 1860 at Melvern, Kansas and married South Carolina Hopper on Nov. 17, 1886. South Carolina was called Carrie. She was born April 1, 1866. John and Carrie always farmed. Carrie died Aug. 24, 1899, at the birth of her son, Robert "Bert". John passed away Feb. 19, 1902.
Carrie had some sisters and brothers but nothing is known of them except some of them lived around Burlingame at one time.
John and Carrie had six children: Arvin Heberling, Addie Rufus Morgan, Pearley, who was born June 2, 1890, at Melvin and died July 6, 1895; Alva, who was born Jan. 28, 1895 , at Melvin and died July 6, 1895, and Robert Columbus "Bert".
John built the little three room house where Arvin was born and lived there until his death.
Her mother was Deborah Bales Hopper born in Green Co.,Tennessee 18 Mar 1837 and died 11 Sept 1910 Cement, Oklahoma. Her father was Simon Hopper born 1830 in Kentucky and died before 1900. There were 8 children born to this family.
