Oscar H. Eitzmann, son of Carl Eitzmann and Dorothea
K. Muller Eitzmann, was born June 3, 1917, in rural Republic County Kan., near Hardy and passed away on March 14, 2009, at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, Kan., at the age of 91 years, nine months and 11 days.
Oscar was baptized on June 17, 1917, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, rural Byron by Pastor
F. Schardt and confirmed there on Oct. 13, 1931, by the Rev.
L. Hoefer. Oscar attended country school in Republic County.
He was united in marriage on Feb. 20, 1941, to Mable I. KuperatSt. John's Lutheran Church, rural Auburn and to this union four sons were born, Wayne, Virgil, Stanley, Myron.
After their marriage Oscar and Mable moved to a farm three miles east of Hardy where they lived for five years and then purchased and moved to a farm six miles south of Hardy where they lived for many years.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hardy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Dora Eitzmann; wife, Mable I. Eitzmann; great-grandson, Houston Eitzmann; brothers, Elmer Eitzmann, Art Eitzmann.
He is survived by sons, Wayne (Lorie) Eitzmann of Hebron; Virgil (Marge) Eitzmann of Hastings; Stanley (Joyce) Eitzmann of Omaha; Myron (Marsha) Eitzmann of Courtland, Kan.; grandchildren, Leon Eitzmann, Kyle Eitzmann, Amy Heffner, Angela Sipp, Melissa Eitzmann, Julie Heaton, great-grandchildren, Austin Eitzmann, Dallas Eitzmann, Kayden Sipp, Riley Heaton, Carter Heaton; sister, Elsie Michel of Auburn; brother, Lenard Eitzmann of Byron; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a. m., Thursday, March 19, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hardy, conducted by Pastor Daryl Nelson and Pastor Connie Raess.
Interment will be in Rosemound Cemetery, rural Hardy.

Services are under the direction of the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Kan. Hill Cemetery, Hebron. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 18, from 9 a. m. to 7 p. m., at Price Funeral Home, Hebron.
